About The Position

WCF, an "A" rated insurance carrier growing across the western United States, is looking to add a skilled claims professional to our expanding team. Our Commercial Claims Department has an immediate opening for a Senior Commercial Property Claims Adjuster . We are seeking someone who can demonstrate WCF Insurance values: doing the right thing, being great at your job, and helping others succeed. This full-time, exempt position is available to candidates located near Phoenix, Arizona on a hybrid (Tuesday through Thursday in office) schedule. Responsibilities The Senior Commercial Property Claims Adjuster will respond to our commercial property insureds from the first contact to conclusion of the claim process. This includes appropriate investigation, analysis and explanation of coverage applicable to the claim's elements. The person in this position communicates claims decisions and key developments to policyholders, claimants, restoration professional, and agents. The Senior Property Claims Adjuster's responsibilities will consist of damage evaluation for commercial structure and personal property, loss of business income, bailment, inland marine, mechanical breakdown and assist with damage assessments of commercial property involved in liability claims. Qualifications The ideal candidate for this position will have: Bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of insurance industry designations At least seven years of property claims adjusting experience, c ommercial property claims experience is a huge plus Certification in water restoration is a plus Advanced understanding of the Unfair Claims Practices Act, policy contracts, and other insurance principles Familiarity with claims management systems and claims estimating software systems Sound literacy in the functioning of restaurants, condominium associations, homeowners' associations and the application of building codes. Strong communication skills Organization, time-management, and decision-making skills Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Windows operating system An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position. Compensation Expected salary for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 annually depending upon location, education, and experience level. Requirements
