About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Mortgage Loan Administration Specialist to support our Tax & Escrow Administration team in the Commercial Mortgage Servicing (CMS) division. The Tax & Escrow Operations Analyst partners with group managers to design and implement strategic analysis to meet group or company goals, performs (or oversees) and applies analysis to initiatives that support business strategies, makes independent decisions on matters with some financial impact and risk, possesses broad-based knowledge to anticipate emerging issues and recommend subsequent strategies and business directions. This individual may manage or participate on large cross-group projects and may be responsible for workflow coordination and production with domestic and offshore operations. In this role, you will: Identify, develop and maintain operational procedures as well as provide recommendations for improving business processes Prepare and manage exception reporting Conduct quality reviews to ensure procedures are being followed accurately and timely as well as identifying procedural improvements Participate in devising business strategies to mitigate operational risk, maintain a balance between risk mitigations and operational efficiency Manage a commercial property tax portfolio of escrowed and non-escrow loans Monitor and paying property taxes in advance of the due date Review tax reports and resolve exceptions in a timely manner Respond to customers, team members, and vendor requests for information Employees support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation, and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Transactions and Processing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years commercial property tax servicing experience
  • 4+ years commercial real estate experience
  • Leadership and/or mentorship skills
  • Experience with technology tools related to commercial real estate servicing or lending – Cotality formerly CoreLogic and Wells Fargo Systems of Record – Strategy.
  • Accounting, including accounts payable, experience
  • Ability to research, compile, and perform complex analysis on critical operational data
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of operations policies and procedures
  • Ability to independently develop strategic recommendations on operational data
  • Ability to partner with, and lead other functions on operations-related projects
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Outstanding technical and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including advanced Excel - working with multiple spreadsheet reports utilizing Macros, Vlookups, and Pivot Tables.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
