About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Closing Specialist as part of Commercial Middle Market Banking. This role involves leading a variety of pre-close activities for moderately complex to complex commercial loans, including coordinating all aspects of loan closings. The specialist will accurately evaluate and upload data into systems of record to ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. They will also document and coordinate legal activities for loan documentation, which may include documentation purchased from third-party sources, working with internal staff and the Corporate Legal group. Collaboration with Credit, Sales, and Legal is essential regarding proper procedures and documentation requirements to ensure accuracy with negotiated terms and alignment with appropriate compliance standards. The role includes reviewing and negotiating complex legal documentation, evaluating risks, developing strategies to mitigate documentation risk, and identifying procedural modifications. The specialist will serve as an escalation point in the resolution of client issues, conduct quality reviews, and monitor key performance metrics related to efficiencies and effective processes. They will identify team activities to ensure conformity with established procedures, collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals, and interact with internal customers. The position receives direction from leaders and requires exercising independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Commercial Loan Closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
