About The Position

As a Senior Cloud Technical Lead- Cloud Storage Engineer you will: Serve as the subject matter expert for Isilon, NFS and SAN storage solutions, providing guidance and oversite from contract signature through ongoing operations for assigned hosted and remotely managed customers and SAS team members. Work directly with internal and external stakeholders, engaging and interfacing with key support teams, customers, and vendors to deliver excellent service using a customer first and continuous improvement mindset. Follow SAS IT Service Management best practices for incident, problem and change management to facilitate workflow proficiency, cost awareness displaying a keen sense of urgency around SLA adherence for your customers. Partner with technical team resources to implement / enhance operational requirements to improve system stability, monitoring awareness and decreases operational burden to promote a positive customer experience. Drive a SAS Cloud innovative approach when partnering to understand our client’s business and desired technical outcomes, looking for ways to implement proactive monitoring and avoid customer impact. Create and maintain service documentation, design documentation, proof of concept testing documents, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and wiki content. Review and approve change requests and standards documentation as provided by customer or cross-functional teams. Embrace curiosity, passion, authenticity and accountability. Requirements

  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in supporting storage solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Technology/Vendor Experience in: Isilon Storage Architecture, NFS, SAN, Dell Powerflex, Dell Data Domain, Dell Networker/Spectra Logic Tape solutions, VMWare/RHEL, Red Hat OpenShift
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and key business partners.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, utilities, services, and editors for assigned area
  • Technical knowledge of the internal workings, diagnostic tools, and features of software systems
  • Aptitude for visualization of solutions for complex problems
