The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience in software development and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Fargate, and others.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, or Go.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Python.
  • Utilize AWS services to architect, build, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable applications.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

  • Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
