About The Position

Our Business Development & Marketing team plays a critical role in enhancing the Firm’s reputation, expanding its client base and driving revenue growth. This team develops and implements strategic marketing plans to promote the Firm’s legal services, leveraging digital and traditional marketing channels to reach target audiences. They conduct market research to identify industry trends and client needs, positioning the Firm competitively within the legal marketplace. The team also manages client relationships, orchestrates business development initiatives, and seeks opportunities for partnerships and networking. Through compelling content creation, event planning and public relations efforts, they ensure that the Firm maintains a strong market presence and continues to attract and retain clients. The Senior Manager, Business Development is a vital contributor, providing operational and tactical support to achieve Business Development objectives. Recognised as a specialist in Business Development, the Senior Manager liaises closely with relevant leadership to support commercial decision-making, providing in-depth expert advice to enable business leaders to make informed decisions. This role is key in developing innovative solutions to complex challenges related to growing business and managing key clients and industry groups. The roles and responsibilities of this job include: Contributes to the strategic initiatives by providing expertise and guidance on all Business Development matters Supports commercial decision-making through profound knowledge, insights and expertise in Business Development, actively taking a lead on the preparation of client proposals, pitch documentation and capability statements Engages in in-depth analysis to address complex issues and challenges, working closely with relevant legal teams to drive the development and growth of priority clients Works closely with stakeholders, utilising their expert advice to keep the company abreast and competitive in the marketplace Supports and aids in the implementation of Business Development strategies, creating significant contributions to the professional or technical approaches to the discipline Informs strategy development across closely related disciplines and supports its successful implementation Significantly contributes to the professional or technical approaches to a discipline and potentially influences strategic direction Accountable for the delivery, implementation and oversight of Business Development strategies across regional and global offices, having a visible impact on operation and potential strategic changes Managers at this level will lead one or more teams of Managers and professionals. Individual contributors at this level will often lead or guide the development of new products/ideas within the discipline, and will allocate and coordinate work to team members within a project. Experience in actively supporting operational delivery within the Function/Sub-Function and closely collaborating with leadership. Subject matter expertise to support decision - making at a Sub-Functional level. Recognised as technical expert in their field May lead projects of moderate scale within a Function/Sub-Function or team across regional and global offices. Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies, contributing to the Function/Sub-Function's performance and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Strong analytical and problem - solving skills, with the ability to apply complex judgment and provide innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of the firm.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience/relevant certifications where appropriate to the discipline.
