The Vice President will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, managing key client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and success of United Overseas Bank Ltd. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in the banking or financial services industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading teams, achieving business objectives, and managing complex projects.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial products, services, and market dynamics specific to the banking sector.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within the financial industry.
  • Proficiency in relevant financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing work environment.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the bank's objectives, identifying new business opportunities and driving revenue growth.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Oversee and manage complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential risks and opportunities.
  • Represent United Overseas Bank Ltd at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and build strategic alliances.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and recommendations to senior management on performance, market insights, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to achieve shared goals and optimize operational efficiencies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and service delivery.
