About The Position

Under the supervision of the Principal Clerk School Secretary and using appropriate technology, serves as secretary to the school’s Main Office.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Basic computer skills including word processing and email
  • Ability to access and use the internet
  • Good communication skills
  • Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment
  • City Of Boston Resident Required

Responsibilities

  • Using current technology assists the Principal Clerk School Secretary with the preparation of correspondence, reports, and notices.
  • Greets and assists visitors in a professional manner.
  • Maintains confidentiality of records, communications, and information as appropriate.
  • Maintains files.
  • Answers the telephone and general inquiries in a professional manner and redirects calls and inquiries where appropriate.
  • Assists with sorting and distributing mail.
  • May operate office machines.
  • Performs related duties of a similar nature, as requested by supervisor, which are commensurate with job classification.
