The Retirement Service Delivery organization is seeking a Senior Claims Examiner in our Pension Risk Transfer Retirement Claims team. The successful candidate will be accountable for the experience of the Annuitant as they navigate key retirement claims transactions and help to move claims into good order by verbal and written communication. The candidate will be expected to interpret and calculate benefits according to contractual provisions, procedures, and federal and state regulations. What you'll do: Create an efficient, accurate, and seamless experience for the annuitant. Complete calculations for retirement benefits. Create retirement claims packages that contain retirement options and benefit amounts. Determine that the Annuitant’s paperwork is in good before processing the retirement claim. Communicate to our annuitants in a professional manner, both verbal and written to bring claims into good order. Apply procedures and interpret contractual provisions. What you'll need: Proficiency with basic computer skills, including typing, keyboard usage, and familiarity with Windows-based applications and the internet. High accuracy and attention to detail are critical for success in this role. Strong mathematical skills; experience with numbers and mathematical analysis is a plus. Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn and retain a large amount of technical information in a relatively short period. Receptive to detailed and frequent performance feedback. Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines. Intermediate skills in Excel, Word, and Adobe applications. Experience with annuities or retirement plans is a plus, but not required. Ability to excel both in a team environment and independently. Impeccable organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. Availability to work overtime on short notice. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Additional Requirements: This position will work virtually, therefore new hires must be able to provide the following & all new hires who work remotely will be held accountable to these standards: Subscribe to internet service provider plan with at least 25 Mbps download speeds. You must be willing to troubleshoot any issues or outages with your home internet service, contacting your service provider as necessary. Quiet area in your home with minimal distractions and noise free. Reliability and Dependability throughout our training program, and beyond, is required. The salary range for this role is from $45,700.00 to $75,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
