About The Position

The Senior Catering Sales Manager at Hotel del Coronado is a leadership role responsible for developing market segments and building customer relationships to maximize revenue from corporate and social accounts. This position involves conducting sales presentations, negotiating contracts, and overseeing event logistics to ensure successful execution of catering services.

Requirements

• At least two years of previous hotel sales experience at manager level.
• Experience in supervision or management of 1-3 people.
• Knowledge of hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc).
• Experience selling large, luxury resorts to social and corporate organizations.
• Relevant degree in business development or a related field (CMP, CPCE preferred).

• Experience in event planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop market segment(s) and solicit new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with corporate and social accounts.
• Conduct conferences, make proposals, and perform external sales presentations to solicit and close group and local catering business.
• Meet daily with and entertain customers, conduct property tours, and participate in tradeshows and community events to promote facilities and services.
• Negotiate contracts and establish agreements with vendors, managing all aspects of customer relationships including drafting proposals and contracts.
• Organize arrangements for social and corporate events, including setup and execution of meetings, meals, and special events.
• Direct and supervise catering logistics to ensure events are executed as planned, providing guidance to Catering Managers.
• Design creative menus and events to maximize revenue and enhance the event experience.
• Coordinate with the Director of Catering for planning and execution of significant events.
