The Worldwide Grocery Category Management team is seeking a talented Senior Category Manager to own the P&L and drive strategic selection decisions across Amazon's Packaged Bakery category. In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive category growth plans while partnering with internal stakeholders and vendor partners to build assortment strategies that maximize profitability and increase category market share across various Amazon Grocery banners. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence business outcomes through P&L ownership, strategic selection management and vendor partnership development. As a Senior Category Manager, you will leverage your excellent communication skills and comfort with ambiguity to scale vision across diverse stakeholders. Your ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans will be essential as you drive category performance metrics, make critical selection decisions, and develop innovative approaches to assortment optimization, pricing strategies and promotional activities. You will be accountable for the financial performance of the Packaged Bakery category while building a selection that delights customers and drives sustainable growth for our business. A day in the life Your typical day involves analyzing category performance metrics and developing strategic insights to drive P&L growth for the Packaged Bakery category. You'll stay ahead of market trends, competitive dynamics and customer preferences to ensure Amazon delivers the right selection that meets evolving customer needs. As the owner of the selection presented to customers, you'll make critical decisions about which products to add, maintain, or remove from the assortment, ensuring we remain competitive and relevant in the marketplace. You'll collaborate with vendor managers and vendor partners to align on assortment strategies and selection decisions that support your category objectives. Throughout the day, you'll prepare business reviews, evaluate ASIN-level performance data, and assess how our selection performs. You'll balance strategic planning with tactical execution, using data-driven insights and market intelligence to drive decisions that positively impact profitability and overall customer experience.
