About The Position

The Senior Career Development Consultant creates modern talent planning approaches and meaningful solutions that enable scale and strengthen organizational adaptability and agility. In partnership with HR Strategic Partners and COEs, uses workforce planning to identify critical talent segmentations and skill gaps. Leads the building of systemic processes that enhance Sanford's capability to identify an internal talent pipeline, as well as retain top talent through additional career development opportunities and programs. Proactively engages in external research and knowledge sharing to stay current on career development trends and best practices. Using advanced knowledge, expertise and applied experiences, develops and implements innovative and technology-enabled career development programs and processes to drive business growth through talent, culture and performance. Develops programs that cultivate a "learning organization," where employees are developed to their maximum potential in alignment with their passions and talents. Exhibits ability to work on collaborative and professional teams with proven ability to build strong relationships. Displays a growth, learning mindset and is ready to promote new ideas and situations regularly. Administers and interprets interest inventories, strengths, and personality assessments. Interacts with employees and students to support their career and growth development goals. Develops and writes content for the career development website. Assists with the marketing of career development services, scholarships, sponsorships, educational assistance, well-being, and leadership development programs offered by Sanford. Assists with evaluation and expansion of career development services and programs. Provides guidance and consultation to administrators, academic partners, and/or healthcare team members to successfully meet the workforce development needs of the future. Effective communication skills are essential: personal, verbal, written, and electronic. Ability to function in a collaborative, fast-paced, customer-driven organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in human resources, education, counseling, organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology, business, healthcare administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years’ progressive career development experience within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Career Coaching Certification required and must be completed within 6 month of hire.
  • Effective communication skills are essential: personal, verbal, written, and electronic.
  • Ability to function in a collaborative, fast-paced, customer-driven organization.
