About The Position

Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is seeking a Senior Career Associate with 8+ years of civil litigation experience to support the litigation teams in our Strategic Advisory and Government Enforcement (SAGE) group. This Senior Career Associate will spend the majority of their time working a large docket of cases that Orrick handles for one of the largest technology companies in the world. Responsibilities will include working on leanly staffed teams to develop case strategy, drive fact development efforts, draft motions to dismiss and other litigation documents, and some discovery. Oral argument opportunities also exist for those who build client confidence. This Senior Career Associate may also have opportunities to work on financial services, white collar, and privacy and data security litigation and enforcement matters. Requirements

  • Meaningful experience with complex civil litigation
  • Strong research skills
  • Drafting motions, briefs, and discovery documents
  • Driving discovery tasks, including e-discovery
  • Case and project management, including proactive deadline management
  • The ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding interpersonal, writing, and communication skills
  • Strong academic credentials and a writing sample are required
