About The Position
Senior Business Development Manager — Chicago, IL | LCM, a HeartLand Company We’re growing fast — and we’re looking for a seasoned sales driver who’s ready to win new business and help others do the same. LCM has built a strong brand and reputation over the past 30 years by providing exceptional landscape services to clients throughout the Chicago Metropolitan area and Southeast Wisconsin. Our team delivers quality in every facet of commercial landscape services: landscape maintenance, enhancements, tree removal, irrigation, turf, plant health care, seasonal color and snow removal. We’re hiring a Senior Business Development Manager to take the lead on strategic growth. In this role, you’ll hunt for high-value accounts, build relationships that last, and mentor the next wave of sales talent on our team. This isn’t a desk job. It’s a field-forward, people-first role where your impact is visible, valuable, and rewarded.
Requirements
- 7+ years of B2B sales success — ideally in services or construction-adjacent industries
- Strong local market knowledge and a passion for winning
- Experience mentoring or coaching peers (formally or informally)
- Tech comfort (CRM, Outlook, MS Office); Aspire CRM experience a plus
- Drive, discipline, and a team-first mindset

Responsibilities
- Drive new commercial landscape maintenance sales (HOAs, retail, education, healthcare, more)
- Lead the full sales cycle — prospecting to proposal to signed contract
- Collaborate with ops, estimating, and account managers for smooth client onboarding
- Carry a personal quota and support junior BDMs through ride-alongs, coaching, and sharing best practices
- Represent LCM at industry events and client meetings across the Chicago area
