About The Position

The Sr. Business Development Executive participates in the development and execution of the business development vision, strategy, and plans that will drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field required or 15 years of equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of securing and closing deals exceeding $50 million within targeted growth areas.
  • Demonstrated experience leading capture teams to secure government contracts, on FedCiv especially with Energy or NASA clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of government procurement and contracting regulations
  • Desire to live within commuting distance of Northern VA/DC area
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed within the country with overnight stays; approximately 30% travel expected.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and CRM’s

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a strategic growth plan focused on FedCiv, including Energy, DOE Headquarters, National Laboratories, Power Administrations, and government-affiliated organizations.
  • Identify, assess, and develop new business opportunities by overseeing the entire capture process from initial identification to contract award.
  • GWACS and Vehicles: Experience leveraging and developing opportunities
  • Lead capture teams, coordinate internal resources (solutions, pricing, operations, and proposal development).
  • Develops a wide network of contacts to keep informed about current and future industry market actions.
  • Researches and analyzes the business environment, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new products and services, pricing, and business models.
  • Collaborates with marketing, solutioning, proposal development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans.
  • Works with the executive team to evaluate new business opportunities, assess potential markets, and develop projects for use in new marketing initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
