Envestnet is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Platform Operations department. This is a hybrid role, with in-office work required at our Berwyn, PA office location. Job Summary: The Senior Business Analyst works with enterprise-level clients to understand business needs, communicate those needs to the technical team, and implement practical solutions. Serves as a liaison between the client, sales consultants, product management, and technical teams, by planning and directing the analysis of complex business problems and documenting high-quality requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in financial service/financial planning industry and/or software development cycle.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in SaaS, technology consulting or related field preferred.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to apply this knowledge in the identification and development of complex business solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation/presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Superior organization, planning, time/workload management, risk identification and mitigation capabilities to plan and execute activities with defined goals.
  • Proven ability to balance/manage multiple concurrent, competing activities and timelines with appropriate prioritization and focus.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborating with leadership to implement solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand client business needs and prepare comprehensive specifications covering all requirements to deliver practical solutions.
  • Participate in high level customer escalation to understand problems and devise solutions or workarounds.
  • Work closely with enterprise-level clients throughout all phases of the solution development life cycle.
  • Grow and maintain expert level knowledge in performance calculations, reporting, data reconciliation, and any other products or internal tools directly related to the position's responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the defect management and creation process, including validation, prioritization and root cause analysis of service issues.
  • Develop project plans, including establishing project scope, timelines, phases, resources, and prerequisites; partner with internal stakeholders, tracking project milestones and deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Review complex business problems and provide analytical solutions to prioritize and resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to building a comprehensive knowledgebase of best practices.
  • Monitor service levels and engage with customers and internal stakeholders and identify root causes of problems for address.
  • Leverage product knowledge to create and deliver presentations that clearly define solutions and communicate key product capabilities and technical details.
  • Effectively demonstrate a high level of business acumen in meetings and in writing to influence clients and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Foster teamwork, collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support departmental quality initiatives and related projects.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training and awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
