About The Position

The Senior Business Analyst has a primary responsibility for analyzing, documenting, and  improving selected operational business processes supported by technology. The role focuses on business workflows, financial data, reporting, business systems integrations to ensure smooth and well-running operations, regulatory compliance, and data‑driven decision‑making. This position leads complex initiatives involving financial systems, business process transformation, analytics, and PMO governance, while supporting intake, prioritization, and value realization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting ERP, financial and business workflow systems.
  • Strong experience with financial process analysis.
  • Proven ability to translate finance and reporting requirements into written system specifications.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Experience with ERP, financial systems, time and billing, or accounting platforms.
  • Experience supporting business intelligence or financial reporting initiatives.
  • Knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements and audit standards (SOX, GAAP, IFRS)
  • CBAP, PMI‑PBA, Agile BA, or finance‑related certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead current‑state and future‑state process mapping across administrative functions.
  • Translate complex business and financial workflows into clearly written functional and technical requirements.
  • Build standardized processes, data flows, and system handoffs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Elicit and document requirements for financial reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and management analytics.
  • Lead end-to-end analysis of complex business problems, translating ambiguous challenges into structured output for stakeholder decision making and analysis.
  • Partner with data and BI teams to define metrics, data models, and reporting logic.
  • Support data warehousing, reporting platforms, and executive dashboard initiatives.
  • Ensure reporting solutions align with financial data sources and business definitions.
  • Support IT demand and project intake through finance‑focused business cases and value assessments.
  • Develop project charters including financial impact, costs, benefits, assumptions, risks, and success metrics.
  • Collaborate with the PMO to prioritize initiatives based on financial value and strategic alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO governance standards prior to execution.
  • Participate across the solution lifecycle including design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Support financial validation, reconciliation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, vendors, and QA teams to ensure accurate delivery.
  • Serve as liaison between IT, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and administrative teams.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and expectations across initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors supporting financial and reporting platforms.
  • Develop and maintain finance process documentation and system support materials.
  • Assist with training related to financial systems, workflows, and reporting tools.
  • Provide post‑implementation support as required.
  • Research trends in financial systems, accounting technology, and analytics.
  • Contribute to PMO standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Champion data‑driven and financially informed decision‑making.
