The Client Delivery Implementation team is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the ongoing expansion of Ancillary Benefit Management (ABM) solutions and an aggressive implementation pipeline. This role is accountable for requirement documentation, end-to-end test planning, coordination, and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) while also supporting operational readiness and post‑go‑live stabilization. The Sr. Business Analyst partners closely with business stakeholders, clients, vendor partners, and internal technical teams to ensure solutions meet defined business requirements, are operationally ready at launch, and are successfully adopted by clients. This role blends strong business analysis discipline, testing leadership, and project execution within a highly matrixed healthcare environment. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Tester
  • 3+ years of experience leading test planning in a client‑facing environment
  • Experience working with healthcare data and workflows (e.g., eligibility, claims, providers, ancillary benefits)
  • Experience supporting implementations and post‑go‑live operational support
  • Experience working effectively in a highly matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders and workstreams
  • Solid understanding of business requirements management, testing methodologies, and defect management
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level presentations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting healthcare benefit management solutions (e.g., lab, durable medical equipment, radiology)
  • Project management experience, including planning, tracking, and risk management
  • Familiarity with analytics, decision support tools, and/or healthcare platforms
  • Proven background in healthcare operations, management consulting, and/or large‑scale implementations

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies, including system integration, parallel, performance and client User Acceptance Testing
  • Define UAT scope, entry/exit criteria, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria aligned to business and operational requirements
  • Coordinate UAT execution with client stakeholders, Client Managers, vendors, and internal business and technical teams
  • Facilitate UAT sessions, manage defect triage, and ensure timely resolution and retesting
  • Provide clear UAT status reporting, risk identification, and readiness assessments to program and leadership stakeholders
  • Ensure traceability between business requirements, test cases, and final client sign‑off
  • Partner with business and technical teams to elicit, document, and validate business and operational requirements
  • Support operational readiness activities by documenting workflows, processes, policies, and procedures required for implementation and production support
  • Collaborate with operations, IT, finance, and data teams to align workflows, dashboards, and reporting
  • Support the maturation of a production support model, including SLAs, escalation paths, and operational monitoring
  • Assist with the development of operational dashboards and performance metrics to support solution monitoring
  • Coordinate and track testing and operational activities across multiple workstreams and initiatives
  • Anticipate risks and dependencies related to testing, data readiness, and client onboarding
  • Develop and deliver clear, concise status updates and executive‑ready materials
  • Serve as a key liaison between clients, vendor partners, and internal Optum business and technical teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to optimize testing, implementation, and operational processes
