About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join AVI-SPL’s Process Improvement team — a centralized team of Business Process Architects and Business Analysts operating under the IT organization — aligned to the Finance and Supply Chain product domains. This role spans the full delivery lifecycle: analyzing business cases, participating in requirements elicitation and Joint Application Design sessions, translating approved business process designs into detailed functional and technical requirements, and carrying those requirements through build validation, Conference Room Pilots, User Acceptance Testing, and adoption. The Senior Business Analyst partners closely with Business Process Architects, Product Owners, Solution Architects, Quality Assurance, Learning and Development, and Change Management teams to ensure that what gets built accurately reflects validated business intent. This role also shapes how the Business Analyst practice operates — contributing to standards, mentoring peers, and driving consistency in how requirements are developed, approved, and governed across the team. The right candidate brings Finance and Supply Chain domain expertise, strong ERP system knowledge, and the ability to lead a requirements practice independently across a complex, cross-functional environment. Who We Are AVI-SPL is a digital enablement solutions provider who transforms how people and technology connect to elevate experiences, create new value, and enable organizations to thrive and grow. We are the largest provider of collaboration technology solutions, which include our award-winning managed services. Our highly certified industry experts and innovation leaders share a vision to help people work smarter and live better. We believe that success starts with a sound team and that an inclusive and diverse workplace moves us all forward. What You’ll Do As a Senior Business Analyst at AVI-SPL, you will serve as a subject matter expert for ERP products supporting Finance and Supply Chain, operating across the full delivery lifecycle — from business case analysis and requirements elicitation through build validation, testing, and adoption. You will work within the Process Improvement team, a centralized team of Business Process Architects and Business Analysts operating under the IT organization, partnering closely with architects, product owners, quality assurance, learning and development, and change management teams to ensure that what gets designed, built, and adopted accurately reflects validated business intent. You will also play an active role in shaping how the Business Analyst practice operates — establishing standards, mentoring peers, and driving consistency in how requirements are developed, approved, and governed across the team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with direct ownership of functional and technical requirements development in an ERP environment
  • Strong working knowledge of core Finance processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Financial Planning and Analysis, as well as Supply Chain and Procurement processes
  • Demonstrated experience with business and technical requirements analysis, including elicitation, modeling, and verification
  • Experience facilitating or participating in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with business and technical stakeholders
  • Experience authoring features, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps (ADO) or a comparable backlog management tool
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
  • Strong understanding of the full requirements lifecycle, including traceability from process design through test case coverage
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across business, functional, and technical teams — including architects, product owners, developers, and quality assurance
  • Experience mentoring peers or contributing to team standards and documentation practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen
  • Familiarity with business process modeling and how process documentation informs requirements development
  • Experience supporting fit/gap analysis, Conference Room Pilots, and User Acceptance Testing in an ERP implementation context
  • Technology or professional services industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business cases to evaluate the feasibility, impact, and value of proposed solutions before requirements are developed
  • Facilitate/participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with business stakeholders and technical teams to elicit, validate, and refine requirements collaboratively
  • Conduct current state analysis to identify gaps between existing processes, data, and system behavior and the desired future state
  • Elicit, analyze, and document detailed functional and technical requirements — including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria — translating approved business process designs into specifications that are clear, complete, and development-ready
  • Own the full requirements lifecycle within the Finance and Supply Chain product domains: from elicitation and documentation through stakeholder review, formal approval with documented sign-off, and traceability to test cases
  • Ensure requirements articulate both what the business needs and how the system should behave — covering data handling, integration points, configuration needs, and edge cases — leaving no ambiguity for development and configuration teams
  • Perform impact analysis for requirement changes, evaluating downstream effects on scope, design, and work already in progress before changes are accepted
  • Identify, categorize, and report requirements rework proactively as it occurs, contributing to continuous improvement efforts across the team
  • Maintain work item hygiene in Azure DevOps (ADO), including descriptions, estimated effort, target dates, and artifact linkage
  • Apply deep working knowledge of Finance processes — including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Financial Planning and Analysis — and Supply Chain and Procurement processes to ensure requirements are grounded in operational reality
  • Support fit/gap analysis sessions by providing detailed requirements context that allows the team to evaluate whether system capabilities meet business needs
  • Participate in Conference Room Pilots, validating end-to-end scenarios against configured solutions and feeding findings back into the requirements and build cycle
  • Participate in build validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), verifying that configured solutions meet documented acceptance criteria and surfacing gaps for resolution
  • Partner with Business Process Architects, who own process design, to receive and interpret future-state process flows as the foundation for requirements development
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is well-structured and requirements-ready, and that all applicable requirements reach formal approval with documented sign-off before development begins
  • Work closely with Solution Architects to ensure requirements account for system constraints, integration dependencies, and ERP architecture considerations
  • Partner with Quality Assurance teams to ensure requirements are testable, acceptance criteria are precise, and test case coverage is traceable back to documented requirements
  • Partner with Learning and Development and Change Management teams to provide requirements context that supports training design and user adoption planning
  • Mentor junior and mid-level Business Analysts, providing guidance on requirements quality, domain knowledge, and documentation discipline
  • Contribute to the development and adoption of requirements standards, templates, and best practices across the Business Analyst practice
  • Support consistent documentation and work item hygiene practices across the team

Benefits

  • Medical benefits, including vision and dental
  • Paid holidays, sick days, and personal days
  • Enjoyable and dynamic company culture
  • Training and professional development opportunities
