About The Position

Onset Technologies is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support enterprise initiatives for HHSC. The ideal candidate will review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs, ensuring solutions align with overall business strategies. This role requires strong expertise in business process reengineering, requirements gathering, data analysis, and SDLC methodologies, along with the ability to act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs.
• 8+ years strong knowledge of Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) areas and tasks.
• 8+ years participating in software development reviews and advising teams on analysis, design, and testing.
• 8+ years supporting unit testing, system testing, and UAT activities.
• 8+ years strong planning and organizational skills across multiple assignments.
• 8+ years thorough knowledge of SDLC methodologies.
• 8+ years excellent verbal and written communication skills with IT and business stakeholders.
• Strong experience as both Business Analyst and Data Analyst.
• 5+ years serving as liaison between business and IT teams.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Must be local to Austin.

Nice To Haves

• Experience implementing case management systems.
• Experience with Jira project management software.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate business systems and user needs to align with strategic goals.
• Perform business process mapping and reengineering to improve operational efficiency.
• Prepare solution options, risk assessments, and financial analyses (cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build).
• Write detailed functional requirements, user stories, and system documentation.
• Serve as liaison between business units and IT teams (Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Support).
• Participate in software development reviews and provide analysis/design guidance.
• Support unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Analyze raw data and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality.
