About The Position
The Senior Business Analyst will support modernization and enhancement efforts for Medicaid enterprise applications at the firm. The role involves analyzing business systems, gathering requirements, improving business processes, and supporting system modernization initiatives within the Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) environment. The analyst will work in a SAFe Agile environment, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure successful delivery of application enhancements and integrated solutions across Medicaid IT systems.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs.
- Strong experience with business process mapping and process reengineering.
- Experience identifying technology solutions to improve business operations.
- Experience documenting functional requirements, workflows, and system processes.
- Ability to perform risk analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and ROI evaluation.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years of experience working in Agile environments (preferably SAFe).
- 3+ years of experience with Texas HHSC processes.
- Experience with Texas Medicaid and CHIP systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business systems, processes, and user needs to support Medicaid application initiatives.
- Gather and document business requirements, user stories, and system specifications.
- Perform business process mapping and reengineering to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop solution options, risk analysis, and cost-benefit/ROI evaluations.
- Create documentation describing user needs, program functionality, and system workflows.
- Collaborate with technical teams, product owners, and vendors supporting Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES).
- Support application enhancements and modernization efforts across Medicaid IT-contracted systems.
- Assist in establishing standard processes, documentation frameworks, and governance models.
- Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies including planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
- Provide project and product oversight for integrated Medicaid IT initiatives.
