Requirements
- BSCE from an ABET accredited engineering program (MSCE preferred)
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience in the structural engineering field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (CA, NV, WA PE license a plus)
- Familiarity with AASHTO, Caltrans, AREMA standards
- Experience performing design and analysis of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, walls, and sign structures
- Familiarity with general purpose structural analysis software design software (3D finite element analysis experience strongly preferred)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (MicroStation experience a plus)
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members
- Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices
Nice To Haves
- MSCE preferred
- CA, NV, WA PE license a plus
- 3D finite element analysis experience strongly preferred
- MicroStation experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Serve as a design lead and technical advisor for project engineers and CAD operators
- Manage tasks and/or projects as assigned
- Assist with the pursuit of new projects
- Produce technical reports as needed
- Prepare cost proposals for projects
- Develop project deliverables including design computations, contract drawings, specifications, and estimates
- Occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meeting
