About The Position

AECOM is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Bridge Design Project Engineer V in the growing Transportation Engineering Group in Kansas City, MO. Specifics of the role include: Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- large-size projects. Strong emphasis on railway bridge design and deliveries. Leads technical client relationships and plays a major role in selling. Leads discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise. Leads technical business development work. Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. Approves and signs off on work. Leader in one or more areas of technology. Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule a to meet requirements on large, complex projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Ability to pass MVR check.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 + years' experience in bridge design
  • Extensive project design experience with railway system bridges and related structures
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.
  • Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software)
  • Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable Codes.
  • Knowledge of current structural modeling software tools
  • A current PE license.
