Senior Brand Designer, Design (contractor)

AlchemySan Francisco, CA

About The Position

As a Senior Brand Designer, you'll help scale Alchemy’s static brand output across web, social, lifecycle, and sales enablement—while raising the bar on craft and consistency. You’ll partner closely with Brand, Marketing, and Product Design to translate complex technical stories into sharp, high-quality visual communication, and you’ll help us move faster by introducing modern AI-assisted creative workflows that the whole team can adopt.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of brand/visual design experience, with strong static-first craft (layout, typography, hierarchy, and systems thinking).
  • A portfolio showing high-quality work across brand assets, templates, hero images, sales decks/one-pagers, and social/campaign assets.
  • Proven ability to use AI tools to increase creative throughput (not just “ops automation”), plus the communication skills to teach and share workflows with others.
  • A proactive, collaborative partner who asks sharp questions when requirements aren’t clear and doesn’t “guess in silence.”
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity; able to estimate timelines, flag risks early, and iterate quickly with feedback.
  • Proficiency in Figma and the Adobe suite; familiarity with modern creative AI tooling (e.g., ChatGPT/Gemini-style LLMs, Figma Make and other Figma AI features, and similar tools).
  • Willingness to learn Alchemy’s product suite deeply so the work is accurate, credible, and differentiated.
  • Availability to work primarily in PST or EST

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting print and event collateral when needed (signage, posters, swag, handouts).

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship marketing assets across channels—blog graphics, social, ads, landing-page assets, one-pagers, templates, collateral and more.
  • Create and maintain a repeatable, on-brand system for output (templates, reusable components, and lightweight guidelines) so quality scales with volume.
  • Partner with stakeholders to critique and refine briefs (not just execute them)—clarifying goals, tightening scope, and improving upstream inputs over time.
  • Bring options and rationale (not just files): share 2–3 strong directions and explain tradeoffs.
