About The Position

Senior Blow Molding Process Technician Overview: The Senior Blow Molding Process Technician is responsible for being the subject matter expert (SME) for all blow molding machines to produce high-quality products and reduce down-time. This role involves troubleshooting, process optimization and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards. Your role at Prestone: Owns, Manages and plans Blow Molding activities such as process validation, controls and procedures, part design, tool optimization, operation and maintenance of equipment Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all blow molding machines. Develop and train of SOPs and other associated documentation to ensure continuity Process ownership and compliance including but not limited to: Air compressors, air settings, chiller and water temperatures, blender calibration, parison air settings and position, knock out rod inspection, IMLs Planning and conducting regular review of daily, weekly, monthly preventative maintenance Manage mold maintenance, repair and refurbishment processes, and tracks units produced and repair documentation. Review and follow through of quality data to make necessary machine adjustments ensuring bottles produced are within specifications Perform mechanical troubleshooting to ensure machines are running efficiently and within standard Perform operator functions such as adjust machine settings and set up molds Operate and maintain blow molding machines when necessary Complete required paperwork for accurate production when operating machines Ensure blow molding machines are operating in a safe, efficient manner Support organizational wide initiatives including but not limited to spares, corporate support, bottle profile Maintain a clean and safe work environment Other duties as assigned, based on operational needs or special projects.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years blow molding or plastic manufacturing experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
  • 5+ Advanced mechanical troubleshooting skills- mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex machinery
  • Proficiency of precision machining and measuring tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and TeamsAbility and willingness to work as team member to perform training and constant coaching operator.
  • People oriented.
  • Able to travel with short term notice (5%).

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years blow molding or plastic manufacturing experience in a manufacturing facility
  • 10+ Advanced mechanical troubleshooting skills- mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex machinery
  • Bilingual a plus (English and Spanish)
