About The Position

PacAero Norton/Sinclair Manufacturing is a leader in the Defense and Aerospace sectors, specializing in RF/microwave package integration, laser welding, CNC machining,. With around 70 employees at our Norton, MA facility, we serve aerospace, industrial, and defense customers. A Qnnect Company, we are ISO9001 certified and comply with DFAR and ITAR regulations. PacAero is seeking an analytical and execution-focused Senior Accountant responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and financial regulations. This role supports three PacAero business units, including Agawam, MA and Mission, KS and partners closely with Corporate Finance. Limited travel is required (less than 20%). The position also supports corporate initiatives and performs other duties as assigned by the Block Controller, Senior Management, and Corporate Finance. This position is full-time, onsite in Norton, MA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
  • Excellent knowledge and competency with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working with internal and external customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and superior follow-up skills.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the total accounting cycle and an orientation toward profitability.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environment and balance multiple work assignments.
  • Works well in team environment- supports everyone’s efforts to succeed.
  • Adheres to the policy and procedures of the company -supports the company’s goals and values.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company standards.
  • Oversee general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Manage cost accounting processes, including standard and job costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Assist with management of fixed assets including depreciation and capital reporting
  • Support the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on forecast-to-actual variances.
  • Assist in preparing financial analysis to support operational decision-making.
  • Help implement and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Prepare and track monthly financial KPI’s.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure SOX compliance where applicable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Contracts, Program Management, and Supply Chain.
