About The Position

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking an experienced Senior Billing/Accounts Receivable Specialist for a 6-month contract assignment with one of our facility partners. This role will support cash receipt processing and reconciliation of premium payments, including collection efforts for past-due accounts. Training will be conducted onsite, with a hybrid work schedule available upon successful completion of training.

Requirements

Accounts Receivable or related accounting experience required and a High School Diploma
Experience with collections preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Professional phone experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Post cash payments to member accounts accurately and timely
Reconcile premiums received and perform account reconciliations
Conduct collection activities for past-due accounts
Process returned (non-honored) payments and refunds
Process account adjustments (memos)
Generate member correspondence and letters
Respond to email inquiries and answer inbound calls regarding rates, payments, and billing concerns
Document all payment activity in the computer system
Route calls to appropriate departments as needed
Provide professional customer service to members, brokers, and internal representatives
Effectively multitask, including talking and typing/navigating dual monitor screens
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Team Coordinator
