The Opportunity: ­­­­ENTRY LEVEL CAREER OPPORTUNITY OFFERING: Bonus Incentives Paid Certifications Tuition Reimbursement Comprehensive Benefits Career Advancement The starting pay for this position is $19.95 - $22.00/hr, final compensation will be based on experience ­­­­ Job Summary The Senior Billing Integrity Specialist serves as a knowledgeable, responsive point of contact and advocate, providing support for the department. Performs multiple revenue cycle system activities by blended client assignment and/or enterprise wide.

Requirements

  • Ensemble Required License: CPCH, CPCO, CPC, CRCR
  • Desired Work Experience: 5 to 7 years
  • Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge.
  • Must pass typing test of 35 words per minute (error adjusted).

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years+ experience in healthcare industry/revenue cycle functions.
  • End to end revenue cycle knowledge or background.
  • Experience on multiple payers regulations or a SME for one payer.

Responsibilities

  • Resolving multi-disciplinary edits (i.e., registration, coding, revenue integrity, billing, etc.).
  • Works with the team to identify trends that can lead to inappropriate billing or revenue posting incorrectly.
  • Proactively identifies problems and opportunities for improvements related to system usage, training and end user education, practice and user trends and makes recommendations to the team.
  • Collaborate with Billing and Denials Management department to identify trend analysis of multidisciplinary errors by identifying new claims rules/edit needs to facilitate accurate billing.
  • Research's escalated billing issues and follows through to resolution.
  • Works daily electronic 277's and or RTPs resolving claim issues.
  • Contact patients, insurance, any third party for insurance information or any additional billing data when needed.
  • Floats to work absentee staffing desks.
  • Assist with the creation of SOP's, Policies and flow charts as needed.
  • Assist with new client implementations by assisting with preparation of the clients unbilled reports and unbilled meetings, completion of Best Practice Tracker and playbooks.
  • Assist with driving results related to but not limited to DNFB and DNFS performance.
  • Provides assistance with driving the management of client KPI's and Ensemble Health Partners Billing key metrics.
  • Serves as an analytical resource for departmental activities and projects.
  • Works closely with department personnel to audit, assess and identify training needs.
  • Provides initial and/or ongoing training for employees as well as identify, evaluate, and implement business process improvements.
  • Remain familiar of all coding, revenue integrity and billing changes on state and federal levels for assigned clients, while ensuring team members are also made aware of changes.
  • Assists other staff as required in the completion of daily tasks or special projects to support the department's efficiency.
  • As a Senior Billing Integrity Specialist, the candidate will be responsible for being cross trained in multiple clients, host systems and clearinghouses.
