About The Position

PEPL is seeking a Senior Benefits Consultant for a client in Atlanta, GA. The Senior Benefits Consultant is responsible for the communication, compliance, and administration of comprehensive employee benefit programs. This role will operate at a senior level, ensuring that benefit offerings including health, welfare, retirement, leave, and wellness programs are competitive, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. Experience with UKG, health and welfare, and retirement plans/vendors is required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of UKG required and bswift preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in benefits program management, ideally with several years of functional leadership.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with external vendors, consultants, and advisors to support the delivery of benefit programs.
  • Provide strategic oversight of benefits systems, including UKG Pro and bswift Guide system configuration decisions to support evolving business needs and improve employee experience
  • Partner with HRIS and Payroll teams to ensure data integrity, system performance, and user adoption
  • Evaluate and recommend technology enhancements or new tools to support benefits administration
  • Provide executive-level insights and recommendations to senior leadership on benefits trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the benefits team and executive stakeholders
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for strategic benefits initiatives
  • Ensure benefits programs comply with regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and provincial laws
  • Oversee governance frameworks for vendor management, data privacy, and audit readiness
  • Support the development and maintenance of policies, SOPs, and internal controls
  • Lead required annual audits (e.g., 401(k)) and manage preparation and submission of compliance filings such as Form 5500
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and oversee internal compliance processes
  • Oversee administration of benefit plans including health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), FSA, HSA, EAP, wellness, and ancillary offerings
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, renewals, and performance tracking
  • Ensure timely and accurate benefits reporting, billing, and data management
  • Prepare and present reports on benefits metrics to senior management and stakeholders
  • Provide guidance on benefits communication and education to employees.
