About The Position

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting for a Senior Benefits Administrator to join our dynamic HR team, focusing primarily on leave administration. They will handle the day-to-day delivery of our existing leave of absence program and provide analytical and technical support. Responsibilities may also include administrative and operational support of our retirement program. This position interfaces with employees and managers at all levels of the organization to provide excellent customer service and effective and efficient problem resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related disciplines
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working in HR Benefits required
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to all types of leaves of absence, including ADA, FMLA, Worker's Compensation along with coordination with other State Paid Family/Medical leave offerings required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Mail Merge, Pivot Tables, V Lookup, etc.

  • Retirement plan experience preferred
  • Vendor/system implementation and project management experience a plus
  • Medicare knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversight for US leave administration (i.e., sick leave, FMLA, Worker's Comp, State Leave Coordination (NY, NJ, MA Paid Family/Medical Leave, etc.) for approximately 300 unique leaves per year. Key contact for employees/managers and liaison between third party administrator - with overall responsibility for ensuring that the employee goes out on leave and is returned from leave in an effective manner. Ensures payroll changes are processed accurately.
  • Support day-to-day administration, operational evolution, and compliance filings/audits for BBH's 401(k) and pension plans.
  • US Total Rewards Statements: responsible for the delivery of the US total reward statement. Oversees complex testing of data feed process to ensure accuracy of highly confidential employee data.
  • Retiree benefits administration: Oversight for transition from active to retired status; manage retiree medical, life insurance and direct bill payments. Manage annual retiree communications.
