About The Position

Ready to build the backbone of a platform that secures millions of identities worldwide? At CyberArk, we’re scaling our Identity Platform to support rapid global growth—and we’re looking for a hands-on backend engineer who thrives on solving distributed systems challenges. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and architects onsite in Santa Clara 2–3 days a week, designing and optimizing the core of a platform trusted by the world’s leading organizations.

Requirements

• 5+ years backend engineering experience with .NET in large-scale or enterprise systems
• Cloud experience (AWS or GCP preferred)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts (caching, resiliency, async patterns, failover, load balancing)
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with identity/auth standards (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML) is a plus
• Hybrid (2–3 days per week onsite) — Santa Clara, CA (Relocation support is not available, but candidates who plan to relocate independently are welcome to apply.)

• Active Directory experience, performance engineering, or experience in identity/security environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build distributed backend services in .NET, focusing on scalability, performance, and security.
• Evolve identity-platform components to support rapid growth and global enterprise workloads.
• Optimize performance and resiliency across services, including caching, data flows, and system-level improvements.
• Design and implement new capabilities using cloud-native patterns and modern engineering practices.
• Lead deep debugging and profiling efforts, including load analysis and distributed tracing.
• Collaborate with platform, product, and cloud teams to influence architecture and deliver high-impact solutions.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of strong engineering practices and technical excellence.
