We’re seeking an experienced, self-sufficient Senior Backend Engineer to join our global team in the Centaur Pod. In this role, you’ll have the freedom to architect solutions while contributing directly to our live healthcare cloud platform. You’ll work on feature development, system architecture, and possibly even ML- and AI-driven integrations to keep our product at the forefront of the industry.

Requirements

5+ years of Back-End development experience, with strong proficiency in Python.
Experience building RESTful APIs (preference to FastAPI / Pydantic).
Hands-on expertise with deploying applications to AWS.
Experience with setting up integrations with third-party API and services, handling rate limiting, error handling, and data transformation.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools for production systems.
Experience with infrastructure management (ex. Terraform)
Familiarity with Airflow.
Initiative & Independence: Comfortable working autonomously and driving projects forward.
Accountability: Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for outcomes.
Communication: Fluency in English, with the ability to collaborate in a distributed, global team.
Curiosity, ability to ask thought-provoking questions, understanding of why things are built.

Nice To Haves

Experience integrating Machine Learning / AI models into back-end systems.
Knowledge of Insurance.
