The Impact You Will Make You will own and extend the backend services that power forecasting, risk reduction, and availability planning across Fresh Sales. This platform influences pricing, production decisions, customer commitments, and revenue stability. When the business needs answers, your work will enable them to act quickly and confidently. What You Will Do Build and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Architect and design new features that support Fresh Sales forecasting and availability planning Manage and compute against very large datasets with an emphasis on performance and asynchronous processing Integrate with SAP, JDA Warehouse Management, and other internal systems Troubleshoot issues and stabilize the application as the team moves toward a steady state Translate business needs into technical design by working directly with Fresh Sales and cross functional teams Participate in three week iterative development cycles and daily stand ups Document code, data flows, and architectural decisions Identify ways to improve performance, optimize data processing, and modernize patterns as needed What Makes This Role Exciting Ability to architect new backend features from scratch Highly complex computational challenges at meaningful scale Opportunity to propose and use new technologies when they solve real problems Direct partnership with business users who rely on the system every day Clear visibility into how your work affects revenue, forecasting accuracy, and risk reduction Internal ownership of code, not vendor dependency What We Are Looking For Strong C# /.NET experience and comfort working in API driven services Experience with large data models, asynchronous processing, and performance tuning Strong SQL and understanding of relational data structures Experience integrating with enterprise systems Ability to design backend architecture and reason through tradeoffs Clear communicator who can explain technical decisions to non-technical partners Curiosity, ownership, learning agility, and bias for action Ability to think ahead, anticipate issues, and write defensive code 3 to 6 years of backend engineering experience Skills and Mindset Delivers measurable outcomes and takes ownership of results Learns quickly and adapts to new tools, domains, and constraints Collaborates well with peers and business partners Demonstrates integrity and alignment with The Clemens Way fundamentals Approaches problems with curiosity, resilience, and disciplined thinking Your Future at Clemens You will help mature a high impact internal application, deepen your expertise in backend engineering, and influence architecture for future systems.
