About The Position

Senior AvionX Controls Integration and Test Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing AvionX has an exciting opportunity for a Senior AvionX Controls Integration and Test Engineer to perform system integration, verification, and validation for advanced avionics in either Long Beach, CA or Hazelwood, MO. We are rapidly expanding our Avionics Integration and Test team consisting of engineers with autonomous functions and complex networking experience. Position Responsibilities Perform Integration and Test (Design Verification, Qualification/DO‑160, and Acceptance testing) of avionics products to ensure delivery of a verified and certified autonomous product. Design, author, and review test plans, test procedures, test cases, and test scripts that map to requirements and verification criteria (Design Verification Test, Qualification/DO‑160 test, Acceptance tests) Develop automated test scripts and harnesses using Python, C/C++, or other scripting languages; integrate tests with CI/test benches where applicable. Configure and run Ethernet/network captures (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc) to validate message timing, determinism, latency, packet-loss, and multicast/broadcast behavior under load Validate serial bus traffic (ARINC 429, RS-232, RS-485) and discrete signals; Generate, maintain, and publish test reports suitable for engineering review and certification support. Develop all required Test Requirements Document Define test-equipment requirements and collaborate with Test Equipment teams to deliver compliant test racks, data acquisition, signal conditioning, and instrumentation. Support lab layout, instrumentation, and safety; support the managing of test lab assets and configuration control for reproducible test execution. Troubleshoot integration issues, support root-cause analysis (RCA), and propose corrective actions; drive retest and closure of anomalies. Provide technical briefings to program management and stakeholders on testing status, risks, and corrective plans.
