About The Position

The Senior Control Systems Programmer is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of highly complex AV control system programs and DSP audio designs that align with project scopes of work and related documentation. This role includes setting programming standards, mentoring team members across all levels, and collaborating with stakeholders to innovate and deliver robust, scalable solutions. The Senior Programmer must hold at least three certifications in control system platforms (e.g., Extron, Crestron, AMX, QSC) and They must also demonstrate advanced expertise in back-end programming languages (e.g., C#, JavaScript, Python, or LUA) and front-end technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript). This role involves collaborating with design engineers, contributing to the programming community, and engaging with customers to deliver solutions that meet functional and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • The Senior Control Systems Programmer position must possess at least three certifications in control system AV control system platforms, such as Crestron Master Programmer, Extron Authorized Programmer, AMX ACE, QSC Q-SYS Certified.
  • 5-7 years of programming experience in AV control systems, including leadership roles in largescale, multi-vendor projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of DSP setup and configuration is required, as well as proficiency in backend programming languages like C#, JavaScript, Python, or LUA. Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, is essential for creating advanced touch panel UI designs.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor junior staff, lead projects, and set organizational programming standards.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills are required, with expertise in integrating and optimizing both legacy and modern AV systems.
  • Strong customer communication skills are also essential to ensure solutions exceed expectations and align with project goals.
  • Ability to independently design and implement reusable programming libraries and code modules.
  • Expertise in debugging complex multi-vendor systems and resolving escalated issues.
  • Strong knowledge of FORTÉ' project flow processes and adherence to high programming standards.
  • Advanced DSP audio design skills, including preset recall and customized audio control.
  • Ability to supervise and conduct code reviews, ensuring programming quality across multiple teams.
  • Proficiency in system-level architecture and performance optimization.
  • Advanced touch panel UI design skills, ensuring user-friendly interfaces aligned with branding and functionality requirements.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for engaging with design engineers, project managers, and customers.
  • Active leadership in the programming community, contributing innovative solutions and setting standards.
  • Expert in Git, leading version control best practices across teams.
