About The Position

The Sr. Automation Systems Analyst is the primary owner of day-to-day operations, configuration, and continuous improvement of critical back-end business systems. This role supports and enhances platforms such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Document Management, and Internal File Transfer systems, working closely with business and IT partners to ensure stability, scalability, and operational excellence. This position blends strong business systems administration with hands-on automation development and optimization. Technologies may include RPA platforms, InforOS, GoAnywhere, and related tools.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business audiences.
  • Proven experience supporting and enhancing automation or enterprise business systems in production environments.
  • Experience managing DevOps or CI/CD pipelines for automation or RPA solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, PowerShell, and/or C#.
  • Familiarity with version control, monitoring, and alerting tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing or similarly complex operational environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in information technology.
  • 3+ years in roles such as Systems Analyst, Automation Analyst, System Administrator, Developer, or DevOps Engineer.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with Robotic Process Automation platforms.
  • Experience supporting systems in a SOX-regulated environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own daily operational monitoring and support for assigned automation and business systems.
  • Monitor system health, analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution across environments.
  • Partner with business users, IT teams, and external vendors to resolve incidents efficiently.
  • Maintain environments in alignment with approved patching and upgrade schedules.
  • Optimize, refactor, and version RPA bots to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Serve as the primary testing lead for system and automation changes.
  • Design, develop, test, and enhance automations and integrations based on business needs.
  • Support production deployments and post-release validation.
  • Create and maintain clear technical, operational, and support documentation.
  • Manage user access, permissions, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Act as a bridge between business and IT, translating requirements into functional and technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile delivery activities to support incremental improvements.
  • Provide clear status updates, risk visibility, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ensure systems and automations align with security, audit, and compliance standards.
  • Enforce change-management and access-control processes.
  • Participate in audits, security reviews, and compliance assessments as needed.
