About The Position

Senior Automation Engineer - PLC/HMI & Commissioning Specialist 5+ years of experience to oversee complex system designs and global commissioning projects Bachelor’s in Engineering is required and offers the opportunity for international and domestic travel (25%), working directly on-site to ensure system excellence Pay is up to $120,000 for a well qualified candidate This position is in the service area and reports to the Service Manager Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder No remote as it is onsite while not traveling Full-time, permanent, W-2 employee Full benefits No relocation Located in the Waukesha, Wisconsin area This employee-oriented, family-oriented, customer-oriented, custom industrial automation certified systems integration company is hiring a full time, permanent Senior Automation Engineer - PLC/HMI & Commissioning Specialist. Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Control Systems Engineer in industrial automation
  • 2+ years of PLC and HMI programming with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.
  • 2+ years of electrical machine design experience
  • 2+ years of machine safety standards and industrial communication networks implantation experience
  • Possess the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
  • Possess a solid work history
  • Being a US citizen or green card holder
  • Having a residence within a 45-minute drive
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating customer needs
  • Designing custom industrial automation machines
  • Designing electrical controls and electrical power distribution
  • Designing electrical hardware
  • Programming robots, servos, HMI's and PLCs
  • Working with Vision Systems
  • Testing
  • Servicing custom machines
  • Creating quotes for customers
  • Traveling domestically and internationally to customer sites up to 25%
