About The Position

The CAD Technicians primary duty is to update and maintain marine mechanical, structural, and electrical design drawings to meet client/customer requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects
• A keen eye for detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• CAD Certification
• Five (5) years' experience in Marine AutoCAD drawing production
• Confidential Security Clearance Required

Responsibilities

• Meeting with Engineers and Designers to review blueprints and design drawings
• Inputting design specifications into the CAD software
• Convert engineering sketches into scaled engineering drawings.
• Convert PDF, Excel, and other formats into AUTOCAD dwg files.
• Creating surface and solid CAD models according to client specifications
• Working with a design team and individually on CAD projects
• Conducing final model rendering and delivering the final product
• Completing job reports
