About The Position

Performs various accounting duties for the internal Audit Team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: KEY member of the A/R Business Office Audit Team performing 25% OPWDD regulated audits at sites. Currently completing 100%. Schedule and perform monthly, bimonthly or quarterly audits for all IRA and ICF sites for People Inc. Type up reports in a timely and accurate manner. Schedule and perform quarterly or twice annually audits for all Day Habs facilities that hold cash for participants. Type up reports in a timely and accurate manner. Perform Petty Cash audits on an annual basis for the business office. Assists the site team with making proper corrections to eVero ledgers to fix errors and balance individual’s financial ledgers. Interact with other team members on findings and audit backup as needed. Request and reconcile outstanding items for audit. On-site or virtual training of Team Leader and Management. Cross train additional site team members on assisting with site audits if necessary. Maintains audit records within A/R Department for internal and external investigation and future audit use. Verification of items purchased over $50.00 for every person served. Places asset tags for items purchased by the agency over the value of $5,000.00. Checks agency vehicles for up-to-date registrations and inspections. Ensure site gas cards are on site and locked up appropriately. Completes special projects as assigned. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, Associate’s degree in a related field and two years of experience and/or equivalent education and 6+ years of experience
