About The Position

The Florida Department of Financial Services, led by Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia, is seeking a Senior Attorney to manage Final Orders for the Department. This role requires exceptional research and writing skills and the ability to work independently on a variety of legal issues. The position is situated within the Litigation and Special Projects section, which is responsible for representing the CFO and the Department in civil, appellate, and administrative litigation. Additionally, the Senior Attorney will provide legal counsel to various divisions including Risk Management, Consumer Services, Florida’s Insurance Consumer Advocate, the Office of the Inspector General, and the Office of Human Resources.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) Degree
• Admittance to the Florida Bar
• Two (2) years of legal experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of either Westlaw or Lexis/Nexis legal research tools

Responsibilities

• Manage Final Orders for the Department
• Represent the CFO and the Department in civil, appellate, and administrative litigation
