Requirements

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
Minimum of 12 years of related experience.
Passed the appropriate state bar exam and hold a valid license to practice law.
Expert knowledge of products and services marketed by the Company.
Ability to negotiate needed contract terms and conditions while minimizing risks to the Company.
Ability to provide sound legal advice and consultation to staff and management under close direction, contributing to strategic decision-making on legal matters.
Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required.

Responsibilities

Lead lawyer for the Fuels Business Unit, with responsibility for negotiating and drafting contracts in accordance with company guidelines and policies.
Provides legal counsel on terms and conditions for proposals, sales contracts and government contracts.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Leads the Ethics and Compliance function for the Company, and coordinates with Group Ethics and Compliance Officer and General Counsel on ethics and compliance issues within the organization.
Advises management regarding policy and procedure revisions based on changes in laws and regulations.
Communicates legal issues and risks to executive management and provides legal and strategic advice on resolution of commercial disputes.
Provides routine and ad hoc reporting on significant legal, ethics and compliance issues and procedures.
Coordinates with other Framatome companies to ensure consistent terms and conditions for joint bids/agreements.
Ensures staff is adequately trained to effectively support corporate and business lines.

Benefits

Salary: $150,000-$212,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
