About The Position

NorthMark Compute & Cloud (NMC²) is backed by dedicated leadership and investment, with a clear mission as it operates at the bleeding edge of technology. Its goal is to scale and enhance the high-performance computing (HPC) and cloud infrastructure that supports its clients' research, production, and delivery, enabling breakthroughs that shape the industries of tomorrow. Its engineers build critical infrastructure to eliminate friction in scientific research, simulations, analysis, and decision-making, accelerating discovery and driving faster innovation. We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Senior Associate of Strategy & Operations to support the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of complex, cross-functional value creation programs. In this role, you will be a critical driver of operational excellence—connecting strategy to execution by building and maintaining integrated program plans, translating ambiguity into clear ownership and cadences, and producing decision-ready artifacts that accelerate delivery across multiple workstreams. This role will partner closely with project managers, engineers, finance, procurement, and other stakeholder groups, including third parties, to design solutions that meet strategic business objectives and align schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring programs stay on track and deliver high-impact outcomes. Ideal candidates bring a consulting mindset, strong facilitation and synthesis skills, and the ability to operate across a broad remit—supporting both program and delivery management needs in dynamic environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, Project Management, Operations, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in program/project analysis or management consulting, preferably in cross-functional, dynamic environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with a strategic, consulting-oriented approach; able to analyze issues holistically, identify root causes, and deliver actionable solutions that align with business goals.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and shifting scopes in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience operating within governance rhythms (cadences, logs, trackers), supporting cross-team alignment and delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in project/program management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, MSP) or Agile delivery frameworks; scope governance and acceptance criteria is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and evolution of integrated program strategies, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term vision and value creation objectives.
  • Partner with leadership to design and implement future-state operating models, translating strategic intent into actionable changes across processes, technology, organizational structures, and skills.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program and/or delivery plans, tracking key milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across all workstreams and partners.
  • Produce decision-ready artifacts and executive-ready communications (e.g., one-pagers, briefings, trackers, integrated schedules, and status updates) that clarify options, assumptions, and critical paths.
  • Reflect strategic priority shifts in operational roadmaps, ensuring ongoing alignment as business conditions, technology, or market landscapes shift.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses of program data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities (strategic & operational).
  • Own risk, issue registers, and decision logs, ensuring timely escalation, mitigation planning, and ownership assignment.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of program delivery methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Uphold governance frameworks, cadences, standards, and follow-through to closure.
  • Plan and facilitate cross-functional working sessions and workshops, translating outcomes into integrated plans, decision points, and action ownership.
  • Support scope clarity and partner governance by translating ambiguous objectives into objective deliverables, acceptance criteria, and gate-based milestones.
  • Develop tools and models to improve forecasting, capacity planning, and portfolio-level oversight.
  • Define and track KPIs that measure the success of transformation initiatives, ensuring progress is transparent and tied to strategic goals.
  • Facilitate data-driven scenario planning, supporting leadership in evaluating alternative pathways and making informed, forward-looking choices.
  • Facilitate lessons learned sessions and integrate feedback into future project execution cycles.
