About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Associate, Servicing Oversight to join our dynamic Capital Markets team.The Senior Associate will support oversight of third-party loan servicers, ensuring servicing standards are met, risk is mitigated, and performance is optimized. This individual will also contribute to process improvement initiatives, internal reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mortgage servicing, servicing oversight, or a related function within a financial institution, servicer, or investment firm.
  • Basic understanding of servicing functions including loan boarding, escrow, default, and payoff processes.
  • Familiarity with industry guidelines (RESPA, CFPB, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/VA) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in using reporting tools and servicing platforms (MSP/Black Knight, LSAMS, Servicing Director or equivalents).
  • Self-starter who is comfortable managing multiple priorities and working both independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications (e.g., CMB, CMCP, CRU) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Servicer Interactions: Coordinate daily/weekly communication with servicers to address inquiries, follow up on action items, and support issue resolution.
  • Support Servicing Performance Analysis: Assist in tracking servicer performance through reporting dashboards and performance metrics to identify trends and escalate concerns.
  • Loan Boarding Oversight: Participate in loan boarding processes, including scheduling kick-off calls, maintaining trackers, and ensuring timely and accurate data transfer from sellers and servicers.
  • Seller & Internal Stakeholder Support: Respond to inquiries from loan sellers and collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Transaction Management, Operations, Risk) to align servicing activities.
  • Early Delinquency & Loan Status Tracking: Support tracking and monitoring of early payment defaults, repurchase reviews, and 120-day delinquent loans.
  • Audit & Compliance: Contribute to internal audits, loan-level testing, and reviews to ensure adherence to company guidelines and applicable regulations.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and support implementation of process improvements, documentation enhancements, and control measures to increase operational efficiency.
