About The Position

Overview: The successful candidate will be a part of the Process Chemistry group, responsible for the process development and in-house non-GMP manufacture of modified oligonucleotides and siRNAs. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to preserving a high laboratory and scientific standard, and maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly laboratory work environment. The incumbent will assist in routine lab and equipment maintenance and well as assist with vendor contract and requisitions as needed. This position is onsite and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA. Responsibilities: ​​Participate in oligonucleotide purification activities such as method development, optimization, and scale-up chromatography activities ​Assistance of downstream production activities, as well as method development and optimization ​Execution of various in-process analytical tests ​The creation, review, and usage of SOPs and batch records employed for the in-house non-GMP oligonucleotide ​Execution of oligonucleotide downstream processes to provide the research and in-house non-GMP material in a tight timeline.​ Qualifications: BS in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, or related field with minimum 1 year lab experience, preferably in an industrial setting. Experience with oligonucleotides, including knowledge of phosphoramidite chemistry, chromatography, ultrafiltration etc. Experience in analytical techniques (pH, osmolality, conductivity measurement, HPLC, LC-MS etc.), or related hands-on experience is preferred. Good understanding of analytical techniques (pH, osmolality, conductivity measurement, HPLC, LC-MS etc.). Related hands-on experience is preferred. Experience in record-keeping and excellent laboratory documentation practices, are required Excellent written and oral communication skills, good organization skills, and multi-tasking abilities. U.S. Pay Range $82,700.00 - $111,900.00 The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
