If so, we want to hear from you!  The Translational Medicine (TLM) department of QPS is comprised of three laboratory operations units: Biomarker Analysis (BMA), Gene & Sequence Analysis (GSA), and Immunobioanalysis (IBA). Our Senior Associate Scientist I is a fully functional laboratory analyst within any of these units, responsible for executing bioanalytical studies with increasing independence, supporting assay troubleshooting, and contributing to data generation and documentation in a regulated environment. This role is suited for individuals who already have hands-on experience in a CRO or regulated lab setting and are ready to take on more independent execution, broader study involvement, and informal team support responsibilities. No visa sponsorship (e.g. H-1B, L-1, E) will be provided for this active position, now or in the future. Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent or unrestricted basis. Requirements

  • The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant scientific discipline (such as biology, chemistry, pharmacology or related) as follows:
  • Master’s degree, or a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in a CRO, clinical research, or regulated laboratory environment preferred
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally, with demonstrated ability to work with increasing independence

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and moderately complex lab operations, including preparation of reagents, pipetting, weighing, monitoring, recording, and replenishing supplies
  • Assist in analysis of drug or biomarker targets in complex biologic matrices using immunologic, chromatographic, PCR, or related methods
  • Set-up, use, and maintain complex instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot assays and support method execution with limited supervision
  • Document experiment details, results, and observations in accordance with GLPs, GCPs, GDPs, and SOPs
  • Perform routine mathematical and data reduction tasks and support QC review of study data
