About The Position

The Senior Associate Product Manager, Bars, plays a hands-on leadership role in delivering JBSS strategic initiatives andmercializing products to support volume and profit growth, with a focus on the new bars capability. This role is critical to advancing plan-makers and strategic priorities, while accelerating JBSS growth by diversifying the portfolio into high-growth snacking categories. This position is 4 days a week on-site in Elgin, IL. Functions of the Position Partners with Consumer Insights, Procurement, Technical Services, Quality, Safety, Operations, Sales, Finance, Private Label or Branded Marketing, Creative Services, and customers. Leads themercialization process, including entering projects into the JBSS project management system and managing them through development,mercialization, and launch. Supports new product and SKU development by creating technical briefs, coordinating development discussions, managing timelines, sample requests, product cuttings, documentation, and approving first production runs. Leads and facilitates cross-functional teams and group meetings for prioritized projects. Leads pricing efforts for new and existing customer products to maintain or improve JBSS margins. Partners with the Director of Pricing on pricing analysis to deliver profitable bars growth. Facilitates product and packaging initiatives—including discontinuations or transitions—involving structure, graphics, or ingredient changes in collaboration with appropriate cross-functional partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing or Business.
  • Two years of experience, ideally with a CPG/foodpany or in new product development.
  • Foundational knowledge of new product launches andmercialization processes.
  • Strong written and verbalmunication skills.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen.
  • Strong project management capability.
  • Bias for action with a strong drive for results.
  • High learning agility.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively with strong time-management skills.
  • Strong team leadership skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
