Fixed Income Settlements Senior Analyst Manage daily settlement transactions across multiple fixed income products for Fed settlements. You would be responsible for all settlement's functions across your set of legal entities from trade date to settlement date as well as any trade fails, and buy-ins on securities transactions. Our team interacts with many operations groups globally in our goal of providing an industry leading level of client service to external clients and internal stakeholders. Supporting stakeholders and developing valuable internal & external relationships with employees. The Operations Analyst/Specialist I TDS provides back up for the Canadian Fixed Income Desk. This individual will handle corporate actions, daily cash reconciliation, tracking file uploads into FIST, and be a DTC clearance specialist. Responsibilities include the clearance of London trading activity passing through US broker/dealers. Activities include advising agent of ticket control numbers for confirmations and by performing required system maintenance. In addition, the position will maintain compliance files and verify new clients are set up on FIST, acknowledging that settlement and other client instructions are complete. Depth & Scope: Acts as a specialist owner or representative in the discipline Leads / participates in the identification, development and implementation of new products, operating workflow, additional services/applications or operational efficiencies for Global Business Services Identifies documents, investigates, and resolves service delivery issues Manages relationships with the client, and other areas of TDS / GBS Acts as a project manager for small-scale projects nctional expertise as authorized by the manager Escalates non-standard or high risk transactions or other activities as appropriate Acquires and applies expertise in the discipline, provides guidance, assistance and direction to others in TD Securities Identifies recommend and effectively executes standard practices applicable to the discipline Analyzes service delivery issues and identifies potential solutions that enhance the customer experience and support TD Securities business objectives Protects the interests of the firm identifies and manages risks Completes business process reviews as required

Requirements

  • 6+ years’ experience within Capital Markets: Fixed Income Operations/Settlements Organization
  • Team player, collaborates with others across teams, encourages other team members to participate and contribute and acknowledges the contributions of others.
  • Strong Understanding of trade lifecycle from trade capture through post settlement
  • Experience with BONY – BDC and Access Edge systems, Broadridge IMPACT and RTTM exposure
  • Strong ability to identify and troubleshoot settlement issues; fails and trade mismatches with CP
  • Understand and provide resolutions to trade and cash reconciliation
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline sensitive environment and possess good communication skills
  • A self-starter who is comfortable in a complex role that interfaces regularly with clients, front office, technology, finance, and trade support teams
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Vlookup, Pivots and other requirements
  • Strong product knowledge including rollout and integration, accompanied with a strong lean mentality
  • A proven risk assessment and management skill set, fostering a zero tolerance policy for poor integrity and risk taking

  • Bachelor's degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience
  • 3-4 years related experience
