About The Position

About the Team DoorDash Drive is our company’s hypergrowth fulfillment platform serving restaurants, grocers, and retailers across the United States and abroad. DoorDash Drive allows restaurants, grocers, and retailers to enable ecommerce fulfillment for their first-party experiences. As part of the Drive team, the Senior Associate will have the opportunity to help define, test and scale Drive’s next biggest bets. About the Role As a senior associate on our Strategic Initiatives team, you’ll be responsible for designing and executing our go-to-market strategy for our next billion dollar venture. You will be responsible for finding product market fit, building strategic go to market strategy, setting pricing, exploring the competitive landscape and running tests to prove hypotheses for new merchant facing customer centric products within the restaurant space. You will set & own core goals for your business and will need to be highly cross-functional (product, eng, marketing, finance, etc) to achieve volume and profitability goals. The ideal candidate for this role should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to take ownership and create plans from scratch, and drive execution while obtaining cross-functional buy-in to achieve Drive’s strategic goals.

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • You have 3+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, or operations; high-growth/early-stage startup or entrepreneurial experience is a big plus
  • Your expert communication and interpersonal skills set you apart
  • You are a strong analytical thinker who can provide applicable recommendations out of a complex, sometimes murky, dataset
  • You have a bias towards action and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
  • Your charisma allows you to excel at connecting with Merchants and internal teams to promote products and drive adoption
  • You crave responsibility and want to shape the vision and direction of the company
  • You’re willing to get your hands dirty and you’re open to feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the business – Drive growth and adoption of some of our top priority projects
  • Business development – Develop and foster deep relationships with top priority merchant partners to iterate and grow the business. Key Merchant point of contact within the Strategic Initiatives Strategy & Ops team
  • Go-to-market strategy – Build a strong understanding of product market fit, value proposition, pricing, and the competitive landscape, and help the team develop a go-to-market strategy based on these inputs.
  • Grow a high-potential offering within a high-growth business.
  • Improve the product – Guide operational improvements for our merchant partners by understanding their needs and working with internal partners to design solutions throughout the product experience.
  • Steer the Drive product roadmap informed by quantitative analysis and qualitative merchant feedback
  • Influence – Work cross-functionally with our Product, Engineering, Finance, Analytics, Support, Sales and Account Management teams to drive growth and scale.
  • Experiment – Evaluate and test various revenue, cost and quality drivers.
