About The Position

Oversees the Ohio Technical Center Degree Pathways Initiative including revisions and future development. Works with Ohio's public institutions of higher education including community colleges, universities, Ohio Technical Centers. Also works with secondary career education programs and workforce representatives. Gathers data to monitor the effectiveness of the initiative for possible policy and procedure enhancements.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree and at least 1 year articulation and transfer (or related) experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in some combination of the following areas: academic administration, academic program development, accreditation process, career advising/placement or academic advising for technical programs, student recruitment, or academic services. An appropriate combination of education, training, course work, and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Some managerial experience.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong technical skills
  • Strong collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. and five years of experience in higher education, preferably with articulation and
  • Experience in academic program development and implementation
  • Some supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of the Ohio Technical Centers

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the continued development and implementation of the Ohio Technical Center Degree Pathways.
  • Provide direct support for operations and the revision of the initiative by:
  • Participate in the reimagining of the Ohio Technical Center Degree Pathways Program
  • Reviewing and revising policy implementation as needed
  • Respond to workforce needs
  • Recruiting and working with faculty work groups
  • Collaborating with educational and agency partners
  • Engaging with credential issuers
  • Providing communication materials regarding the initiative
  • Working on Industry-Recognized Credential Transfer Assurance Guides(ITAGS) and Career- Technical Assurance Guides (CTAGs)
  • Support the development and revision of articulated college credit opportunities for identified courses and programs completed at Ohio Technical Centers (OTCs).
  • Support the development of seamless pathways for adult students and credential holders into degree programs.
  • Work with internal teams and Senior OATN Directors to ensure the Ohio Technical Center Degree Pathways and related programs are stackable into other college credit opportunities and pathways for students.
  • Provide support for other OATN initiatives.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
