The Sr. AGM, Asundexian is responsible for delivering top-line targets while effectively leading and managing a dynamic cross-functional customer-facing team within their business unit. You will manage a cost base which consists of personnel and flexible spending and will make necessary trade-offs to maximize impact. You have a deep understanding of the specific needs of healthcare practitioners and health care systems within the stroke prevention space; ultimately driving customer and patient-centric outcomes while ensuring performance goals are met. This role requires extensive collaboration with HQ and other stakeholders to drive performance outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree is required

Significant experience working in Stroke, Anti-Coagulation and Cardiovascular therapeutic areas.
Able to create local vision and strategy for the greatest business impact. Demonstrated success in formulating and implementing business plans in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment
Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work through complexity. Able to consistently identify root cause issues, deep dive and create/execute/evaluate plans
Solid selling and negotiation skills. Experience managing budgets, negotiating resources, and maximizing the return on investment
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, market access, medical, and patient access to ensure commercial execution
Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to influence teams to drive performance
Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams, strongly preferred. Demonstrated strength in identifying talent, coaching mentoring teams/peers; helping others to meet or exceed their goals, targets, and other responsibilities
Thorough understanding of health systems, customer segments, regional market dynamics, and KOL development within the therapeutic area(s)
Willing and able to travel routinely on a weekly basis.
Experience leading sales or account teams in hospital or health systems sales
8+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech sector preferred with roles of increasing responsibility in sales, account management, hospital sales, market access, brand management, commercial operations, medical, etc.

Nice To Haves

Direct leadership experience with secondary stroke prevention therapies (e.g., antiplatelets, anticoagulants, lipid-lowering, or novel mechanisms)
Advanced understanding of recurrent stroke risk factors (atrial fibrillation, atherosclerosis, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia)
Deep familiarity with post-stroke treatment guidelines and long-term prevention strategies
Ability to interpret and communicate secondary stroke clinical endpoints (e.g., recurrent ischemic events, MACE, safety outcomes)
Experience engaging neurologists, cardiologists, primary care, and advanced practice providers in longitudinal care settings
Knowledge of care transitions from hospital to outpatient, rehabilitation, and chronic management
Experience working with multidisciplinary stroke teams, including neurology, cardiology, pharmacy, and care coordinators
Understanding of formulary management and prior authorization for chronic secondary prevention therapies
Familiarity with population health, adherence challenges, and real-world evidence in stroke prevention
Experience collaborating with HEOR teams to support outcomes and cost-of-care discussions
Track record of driving adoption in crowded, guideline-driven therapeutic categories
Strong credibility in discussions around risk–benefit, safety, and long-term outcomes
Demonstrated commitment to patient-centric, evidence-based secondary stroke prevention

Responsibilities

Accountable for achieving revenue goals for the area. Execute comprehensive strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share in the region. Work within the financial framework provided by the organization. Identify unique roles, structures, and alignment. Resource the team appropriately based on geographic/market needs
Develop and lead a high-performing team in the business unit. This team includes sales representatives, institutional sales specialists, key account managers, and other specialized roles. Collaborate extensively with cross-functional roles such as Marketing, Market Access, and Medical. Set the vision, provide inspirational and strategic leadership and direction by translating business strategy into operational goals and outcomes. Communicate in a simple, clear, and concise manner so that all team members understand what success means for the squad. Regularly assess and determine the size and composition of the team based on market needs
Identify, retain, and attract high-performing talent for the organization. Build and lead high-performing sales teams, with proven coaching and talent development skills. Develop a One Team approach with a mindset of shared accountability, driving a culture of ownership, strong performance, and collaboration
Gain and apply a deep understanding of relevant markets, business models, strategic priorities, future direction, and financial drivers. Understand and engage in key local and national health care issues/strategies, customer issues/trends, care pathways, and quality trends and best practices
Define the local area strategy and priorities in collaboration with the cross-functional and HQ team. Manage a portfolio of brands across different therapeutic areas and dynamically allocate resources to maximize impact. Set, execute, and measure market-based objectives for the business unit
Direct local squad P&L by closely monitoring monthly financial reports, optimize budget utilization through strategic allocation for various marketing and customer engagement initiatives and programs. Deploy and organize human resources to maximize return on investment and drive sales growth
Develop long-term relationships with influential customers to address current and future business opportunities and advance brand(s) adoption. Understand customer business needs and effectively and compliantly communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
Maintain timely communications with all direct reports and matrix partners, management, and internal and external stakeholders
Lead a health system-focused sales organization engaging IDNs, ACOs, and large health systems in CKD, heart failure, stroke prevention, and anti-coagulation management. Collaborate and influence your squad. Enable and influence the team to develop multi-level and senior relationships within assigned accounts and health systems. Collaborate and lead the Regional Account Directors (RAD); understand the local strategy, their focus, and account objectives, engage in pull-through. Partner and collaborate with National Account Directors (NAD)
Build strategic partnerships with C-suite and D-suite leaders - including CMOs, CCOs, CFOs, Pharmacy leaders, Quality to shape enterprise adoption and formulary access
Enable and influence patient access and reimbursement strategies for the entire portfolio
